waking up is hard to do

I had a dream of you last night.

We were both in my room, just smiling and talking about nothing in particular. Then you hugged me. I was hugging back when the realization hit me. I let go, held you right in front of me, and said, “I… I dreamed about this moment.”

You smiled. And you hugged me again. This time, we didn’t let go until I woke up.
